Fidelity Building Services Group enters Florida with Largo's Tropic-Kool

What happened. Fidelity Building Services Group, a Maryland-based national commercial HVAC/mechanical, building-automation and energy-solutions provider with more than 70 locations in 30 states and roughly 2,800 employees, acquired Tropic-Kool of Largo. Founded in 1978 and led by president Daniel Wilkie, Tropic-Kool serves healthcare, industrial, commercial and education customers from a 25,000-square-foot fabrication facility. CEO Dave Lanphar said the firm looked forward to 'collaborating with President Daniel Wilkie,' and Wilkie said the partnership meant the company was 'poised to expand our service offerings.' Terms were not disclosed.
