Wrench Group acquires Tampa's Easy A/C and rebrands it Easy CoolToday
What happened. Wrench Group, the Leonard Green-backed national home-services platform, acquired Easy A/C, a Tampa air conditioning, electrical and plumbing contractor founded in 2001 by Keith Westbrook and Dave Whittington serving Polk, Pinellas, Pasco, Manatee and Hillsborough counties. CEO Ken Haines said the deal 'further establishes Wrench Group in the Tampa and St. Petersburg markets.' The announcement stated Easy A/C would be merged with CoolToday, Wrench's Sarasota-founded brand acquired in April 2019, and rebranded 'Easy CoolToday.' Terms were not disclosed.
